We are looking for qualified candidates to temporarily facilitate a Pre-Service Training Programs for the Peace Corps Volunteers, to take place in Korogwe from June to September 2019. Our trainings follow Community-Based Training (CBT) approach and therefore the successful candidates will be required to live and work in rural areas around Dodoma town throughout the training period. Language and Cross-Culture Coordinator (LCC) -1 Position
The LCC leads the design and implementation of the Swahili Language and Cross-Culture training program. He/she works with LCFs to ensure quality planning and delivery of the language and cross-culture lessons. LCC is responsible for overall Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting of the language and cross-culture training program. She/he reports to the training manager and coordinates with Homestay Coordinator and Technical Trainers.
Desired Qualifications:
An applicant for this position must be Tanzania with at least a Bachelor Degree in Adult Education, Education, Social Work, Community Development or other fields related to Peace Corps Projects. The incumbent must have at least 3 years of experience in teaching Kiswahili to Americans; at least 3 consecutive years of managing a language training program; and must be fluent in Swahili and English languages. Knowledge and/or experience in secondary education, agriculture, livestock, forestry, gender and women empowerment, HIV&AIDS and Malaria will be an added advantage. She/he must be functional in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Candidates from Zanzibar are strongly encouraged to apply.
