Job Description

Some of the tasks you'll be performing are: - planning fundraising strategies; - researching potential donors and funding opportunities; - writing sponsorship letters/emails and project proposals; - assistance in effective communication with potential donors. All meetings and communication will be either online through videoconference and email and sometimes face to face.

Women in Management is a not-for-profit organization based in Tanzania committed to assisting  and empower women in leadership roles. WIMA  currently works with women empowerment,  Youth Empowerment .We want to expand our service capacity and we are looking for financial resources for the implementation of new projects.

Where you come in:

In this part-time fixed term volunteer position (3 days per week for 3 months), based in Tanzania, you’ll work on a wide range of activity, from supporting donors with everything they need to maximise their fundraising, to optimising new  fundraising opportunities. You’ll work with various stakeholders including third party platform providers and event organisers, as well as providing support to our Key Supporter team in the ongoing stewardship of mid-value donors. You will make an impact by:

Ensuring the effectiveness of the current program and leveraging new opportunities

Providing support to fundraisers, including provision of promotional materials and collateral for fundraising, and ensuring effective and timely communication with supporters

Building strong cross functional relationships to facilitate promotion and accurate reporting of Women in Management Programme

Building and managing strong relationships with third party platform provider and fundraising partners

Acting as a support to the Key Supporter team where required

Does this sound like you?

You’re a self-starter, highly organised, and love to take initiative. With the ability to work autonomously as well as build great relationships, you are keen to use your fundraising expertise to help develop our projects. You’ll be able to demonstrate your understanding of the challenges and opportunities  Fundraising presents and use your skills to take new ideas to market with your knowledge of best practice.

This role requires:

Demonstrable experience in fundraising or resource mobilization

Very strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills

Proven experience working with multiple teams, and competing priorities

Proven experience in implementing new initiatives
