Job Purpose:
To develop, maintain and increase a solidly dependable client base, to sell courier opportunities and provide an effective service to clients so as to maximize sales volumes and revenue targets.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be responsible for the following key result areas:
- Sourcing of courier business in line with the courier sales strategy:
- Maximizing volume and revenue in cash sales and credit sales for increased profitability;
- Maintaining good customer relations through regular customer visits;
- Ensuring prompt debt collection within the agreed credit period;
- Identifying courier sales agents;
- Developing courier business and planning for the implementation; and
- Maintaining close liaison with relevant departments and making monthly sales and collection reports to the Distribution Assistant and Market Development Manager.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Academic: Bachelor Degree or Diploma in relevant field from a relevant institution
Professional qualifications and skills in:
- Three (3) years of relevant experience
- Persuasive ability
- Confidence and an outgoing personality
- The ability to build relationships with customers
- The ability to work under pressure and meet targets
- Ability to communicate;
- Report writing skills; and
- Numeric skills.
