Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
A university degree in agriculture, business administration, economics, communications, health and behavioral or social sciences or a related field is required.
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in one or more of the relevant technical areas listed below. USAID experience is highly preferred.
Lead, Horticulture Market Systems will provide strategic leadership, management, and technical direction and support to the project team and counterparts in the implementation of activities. This will include facilitating activities that allow for more efficient transactions from aggregation, enhanced cooperation and trust between buyers and suppliers, and increased incentives for buyers and suppliers to invest in quality, productivity and service provision (e.g., willingness to provide services such as credit and/or extension).
