STATION MANAGERS Post: 3
Duty Station: (Shall be positioned for stations inside Tanzania)

Responsibility:
With the expertise that you are carrying, you are required to report to your superiors on your day to day functions of your duties. You shall be answerable to the Management in the performance of such duties as hereunder.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i) Lead and manage the airline’s ground handling suppliers and airport companies at the
nominated base(s) and satellite airports to deliver targeted performance outcomes in all areas of safety, compliance, cost control and operational performance.
ii) Ensure that ground handling companies and airport operations comply with safety standards at all times.
iii) Manage cost in line with budget and deliver ever lower cost operational solutions and arrangements with the growth of the airline, achieving volume based discounts.
iv) Identify all new opportunities for operational improvement and/or cost savings in the nominated area of responsibility.
v) Ensure scalable growth for the nominated base(s) and satellite airports in all areas including, but not limited to, the startup of new operational locations, the increasing AIRCO HOLDINGS Limited is a concessioned ground handler at Mwanza Airport. AIRCO has the following vacancies for which suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply. of base sizes, alternate and diversion arrangements and close management of any disruption.
vi) Contribution to preparation of standard ground handling agreement (SGHA) templates
vii) Execution of full scale supplier (organizational) audits and management of other GOMs in audit planning, reporting and follow-up.
viii) Management of trainings and training schedule of GOMs
ix) Participation in internal and external quality/compliance related cross-functional projects,
x) Undertaking of station visits and relevant audits/inspections/trainings as well as follow up on outstanding items as Air Safety reports, mystery passenger report, audit findings and other findings within the confines of Ground Operations processes,
xi) Support the Ground Operations Team in activities across the network as required General administration and reporting duties.

MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications and experience:
i) Possession of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations or equivalent from a recognized higher learning institution.
ii) Knowledge and competence in information and communication technology (ICT) application, and familiarity with some of management software.
iii) Working experience prior to Aviation (Airline Industry) of a minimum of 3 years will be an added advantage.
