Position Title : Clinician (2)
Location: Serengeti Under Canvas (Mobile Camp moves with the Migration) and Mnemba Island (Zanzibar) .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of high level of personalized service that exceeds not only the expectation of the guest and staff but will add a point of difference from the service provided anywhere else within the Lodge.
  • To create an atmosphere that makes a "wow" impression on the guests and staff during the service/treatment.
  • Take stock takes and check on expiry dates of the drugs.
  •  Cross check the expiry dates of the goods in the stores.
  •  Ensuring guests receive a warm and friendly service.
  • Proper control of drugs/medicines.
  • Carrying out guests and staff treatments - helping to prepare good environments for service/treatment and other services.
  • Make sure all employed staff have medical examination annually.
  • To form staff safety and health committee.
  • To create awareness amongst staff for various diseases in the tropical areas.
  • Should be flexible to support other departments when required to do so.
  • He/she will be responsible for All Health matters in Lodge/Camps which include Kitchen Hygiene and food store hygiene.

Output:

  • To provide service/treatments to guests and staff and ensure that all their needs and requests are met and accommodated. 
  • Maintain a professional appearance and high standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
  • Understand & Beyond standard manners and etiquette 
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of the guest and staff.
  • Have a fundamental knowledge of health and treatment and its effect on the position of clinical.
  • Understanding the guest's different cultures, moods and emotions when providing services. 
  • High levels of motivation and team building skills. 
  • An interest in self-development and development of Serengeti Under Canvas and Mnemba Island
  • Must have a very good eye for medical detail.
  • Must have a fresh and good approach with guests.
  • Must be passionate about guest and staff during service delivering.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Have good knowledge of medicine and giving instruction on dose usage.
  • Excellent work ethic.

Qualification and skills Required:

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine.
  • Able to stay/cope in the Mobile Camps atmosphere and in an Island atmosphere.
  • Excellent team player
  •  Creative and passionate about guests and staff.
  • Excellent English Language And Kiswahili Communication,
  • Previous experience in the same position or similar will be an advantage.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in the industry.
  • Possess a good knowledge of the medicines,
  • The successful candidate must have attention to detail and a positive outlook while being responsible, flexible, accurate, excellent team player, creative, committed, hardworking and eager to learn.
